The universal motor cover provdies cover for motors (especially jet pump motors) from rain and snow as well as overspray from evaporative cooling systems. It also shields motor from direct sunlight to help reduce operating temperatures. Both of these advantages help increase motor life and reduce chances for premature failure. This cover can be used on most currently available jet pumps regardless of brand. Hog Slat recommends that all jet pump motors be covered by some means.
The cover is made from heavy-duty plastic and features a slide together design that elimiates the need for hardware during assembly. The underside of the cover is designed with two saddle-like fixtures that snap over the body of the motor and keep the cover in place. The white top helps reflect sunlight and the molded side-vents allow fresh air to circulate around the motor for cooling purposes.
