Ultratech® Archaea Boom Drain Guards capture pollutants above the drain and can also clean and bioremediate below the drain!The perfect stormwater management product has yet to be invented. Even under optimal conditions, no product is going to capture 100% of pollutants. For those oils and gases that make it past the Ultra-Drain Guard and into the catch basin below, we’ve added an Ultra-Archaea Boom. The oil-eating microbes housed in this boom activate when exposed to water. Once activated they consume the hydrocarbons in the water and leave behind only harmless, natural byproducts.
