Hydra-Cell Vacuum Priming Kit
The A03-130-1200 Kit provides an easy and convenient way to remove air from behind the diaphragm in any Hydra-Cell pump. If you replace a diaphragm on your pump, it is necessary to prime the pump by attaching this assembly to the pump housing through the oil cap and pulling a vacuum.

- 1/4″ Non-Valved Hose Barb Elbow, Coupling Insert (A03-130-1202)
- 1/4″ NPT Non-Valved Coupling Body (A03-130-1203)7/16-20 UNF 2A x 1/4-18 UNF 2B Adapter (A03-130-1204)
- 4 oz. Oil Reservoir Bottle (D12-116-2220)
- 1/4″ FNPT x 3/8″ MNPT Bushing (103-011)
- 3/8″ FNPT Oil Cap, 3/8″ FNPT (D10-039-2311)
Detailed Instructions
- Ensure pump is off. Warning: Personal injury or pump damage can occur if pump is not turned off.
- Remove Oil Cap from Hydra-Cell Pump
- Install Oil Cap (8) with Oil Bottle (6) on Hydra-Cell Pump reservoir.
- The Hand Vacuum Pump (1) has two positions: Vacuum and Pressure. Set hand pump to Vacuum position (arrow down).
- Position the Rotating Gauge as convenient. Hand operate the pump (1) until 25 in. HG is indicated on the gauge. Note: If the oil bottle (6) starts to fill up with oil, release the vacuum with the lever at the bottom of the hand pump and start over (some oil may need to be removed from the reservoir).
- Release vacuum with the lever at the bottom of the pump.
- Remove Oil Cap with Oil Bottle on Hydra-Cell Pump reservoir.
- Add oil as necessary.
- Replace Oil Cap from Hydra-Cell Pump.
- Clean the Hydra-Cell Vacuum Priming Kit after each use.
