When you have a fire-rated single exit door with inside touchbar setup, or double exit fire doors (must havecenter mullionbetween doors) with inside touchbar setup, and you need to either release the door remotely, such as with anintercom, or you have an outsidekeypad/readerfor gaining access, then be sure to pick up this fire-ratedrim exit deviceelectric strike. Being completely surface-mounted, the 9500 series Genesis III is the first of its kind. The 9500 accommodatesrim exit devicesin metal or wood jambs, and features an internally mounted solenoid and two stainless steel, independently operating locking mechanisms. East to install with all of the components encased in the 9″ x 1-” x ” faceplate, requiring no cuts to the jamb prior to installation.
