Rugged, flexible tape adheres securely and removes cleanly from most surfaces for a wide variety of applications. 3M™ Vinyl Duct Tape 3903 is a general-purpose duct tape made from a hand tearable embossed vinyl backing coated with a rubber adhesive. Less prone to leave adhesive residue on the surface than conventional cloth duct tapes. Allows for minimal clean-up. Even after outdoor exposure, black will hold well for up to six months as is less prone to leave adhesive residue compared to conventional duct tapes. Red, green and yellow colors can be used outdoors for up to one month. Embossed vinyl backing is easy to tear and conforms well to irregular surfaces. Since it contains no cloth scrim, there is no exposed thread ends to wick water into the adhesive layer. If the adhesive side of the tape comes in contact with itself, it can be pulled apart so the tape is not wasted. Typically used at room temperature, but will remove cleanly when applied to a painted steel surface and heated up to 250°F (121°C) for up to one hour. Rubber adhesive sticks well to many substrates. Unwinds easily off the roll.
