The KDF85-02-10BB filter cartridge contains Coconut Shell GAC for reduction of chlorine taste and odor, as well as two pounds of KDF 85. KDF 85 Media is recommended for the reduction of iron and hydrogen sulfide from municipal or other water supplies to the rated capacity of a specific filter cartridge. KDF 85 also controls scale, bacteria and algae, due to its bacteriostatic properties.
